Role Overview
This General Construction Worker position offers full-time or part-time, on-site work based in Windsor, Ontario. The role encompasses diverse construction duties such as assisting with framing, masonry tasks, flooring work, and general renovation activities primarily on residential jobs. Key responsibilities include loading/unloading materials, preparing and cleaning job sites, operating basic hand and power tools, and supporting skilled trades personnel. Maintaining safety procedures, coordinating with the site team, and ensuring projects meet company quality expectations are essential.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience performing general construction duties including framing assistance, site preparation, and finishing tasks.
- Basic masonry skills including brick, block, or stone work and mortar handling.
- Familiarity with renovation work involving tear-outs, repairs, and residential upgrades.
- Flooring installation or removal experience with hardwood, laminate, tile, or similar materials.
- Capability to conduct basic research on materials, methods, and best construction practices as assigned.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to workplace protocols.
- Physical fitness to handle manual labor, lift materials, and work on ladders in various weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to Windsor sites and punctual attendance.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with supervisors and team members.
- Prior residential construction or trade experience is preferred; certifications or apprenticeship training are advantageous.
