GCP Cloud Automation Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced GCP Cloud Automation Engineer dedicated to developing and improving automation processes within our Google Cloud Platform environment. This role emphasizes enhancing platform automation, operational excellence, observability, reliability, and self-service features to boost cloud scalability and minimize manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain automation tools for Google Cloud operations.
• Create self-service functionalities for onboarding applications and provisioning cloud infrastructure.
• Automate deployment cycles, operational tasks, and monitoring procedures.
• Develop and improve observability mechanisms, alerts, and operational dashboarding.
• Enhance platform resilience, reliability, and readiness for operations.
• Provide support for Kubernetes Engine (GKE) platforms and cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate across platform, security, and application teams to deliver scalable cloud-based solutions.

Essential Qualifications

• More than 7 years of practical experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
• Proficient in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or equivalent languages.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform.
• Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes/GKE clusters.
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation of deployments.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability solutions.
• Solid understanding of cloud operations, incident response, and reliability engineering principles.

Desirable Skills

• Background in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Experience working with Vertex AI or modern artificial intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of cloud security principles and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Understanding of cloud financial operations (FinOps) and cost optimization strategies.
