GCP Big Data Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Engineer specializing in Google Cloud Platform to join our team in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Python, possess deep hands-on experience with GCP services, and demonstrate strong analytical capabilities to deliver high-quality ETL/ELT pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data processing workflows.
• Utilize GCP services including Google Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Composer, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run for data engineering tasks.
• Write optimized SQL queries to support data transformation and analysis.
• Collaborate effectively, communicating clearly within the team and independently managing assigned tasks.
• Implement version control and integration workflows using Git and CI/CD tools.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Extensive practical experience with GCP data platform components.
• Demonstrated expertise in ETL/ELT pipeline development and advanced SQL.
• Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Familiarity with Git and continuous integration/continuous deployment processes.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly.
