About the Role
Canterbury Museum is embarking on an ambitious redevelopment to create a new world-class museum for Waitaha Canterbury, dedicated to the region's treasured artifacts and telling the stories of the local community.
We are seeking an exceptional Fundraising & Development Manager to spearhead and support revenue-generating activities and events that will fund this major redevelopment project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead initiatives that generate income to support the museum redevelopment.
- Develop and maintain lasting relationships with stakeholders, donors, and grant providers.
- Craft persuasive grant applications to secure funding.
- Inspire and engage a broad range of Museum supporters to donate.
- Identify new opportunities for fundraising and foster a dedicated donor network.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant will have proven achievements in fundraising, particularly for substantial capital projects, combined with the creativity to bring stories to life and strong interpersonal skills to cultivate lasting partnerships.

This is a full-time role based onsite in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.
