Fund Accounting Manager

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking a skilled Fund Accounting Manager to lead a team responsible for providing fund accounting services for a portfolio of alternative investment clients. This role is ideal for an experienced Fund Accounting Supervisor or Manager ready to take on broader responsibilities involving team leadership, client management, and overseeing the entire NAV process.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Fund Accounting specialists.
• Ensure accurate and timely end-to-end NAV production on a daily basis.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients within your portfolio and internal teams.
• Review and validate daily and monthly NAV calculations along with related accounting deliverables.
• Validate fee computations, allocation of profit and loss, and assess fund performance metrics.
• Promptly investigate and resolve outstanding cash and position reconciliations.
• Provide expert guidance on complex fund accounting questions and handle escalations.
• Drive continual enhancements to fund accounting processes, controls, and workflows.
• Manage external audit processes and assist in the preparation of fund financial statements.
• Facilitate onboarding and transition activities for new clients and fund launches.
• Offer training and foster growth for junior and senior team members.

Candidate Profile

• Possesses at least 5 years of experience in Fund Accounting or Alternative Fund Administration.
• Has held supervisory or management roles, ideally with team development responsibilities.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of NAV processes and the fund accounting lifecycle.
• Experienced with alternative investment funds, preferentially Hedge Funds.
• Strong grasp of fund accounting controls, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Holds a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is advantageous.
• Possession of or interest in pursuing a professional accounting qualification is beneficial but not mandatory.
