Functional Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking a Functional Consultant to join ABN Consulting Group in Nairobi, Kenya. This role involves directly engaging with clients to understand their business operations, translating those operations into effective ERP solutions using Odoo, collaborating with development teams for customizations, and managing the entire implementation cycle from initiation to go-live and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate ERP implementation projects, managing timelines, milestones, and deliverables efficiently.
• Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies ensuring smooth progress.
• Work closely with software developers to convert functional requirements into accurate technical specifications and validate developed solutions.
• Manage data migration processes including mapping, cleansing, validation, and testing migrated data for accuracy using tools like Microsoft Excel.
• Plan and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), documenting and resolving issues to ensure quality deliverables.
• Configure Odoo modules as per approved functional specifications.
• Coordinate testing activities and support final validation before system go-live.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate combines skills in business analysis, functional consulting, and project ownership. They should be adept at understanding client business processes deeply, translating them into Odoo configurations, and owning the implementation outcome through training, documentation, and post-launch support. The role offers mentorship from experienced Odoo consultants and exposure to AI integration within ERP environments.
