Full-Time Store Associate

Job Overview

Join ALDI as a Full-Time Store Associate where you will be instrumental in maintaining store presentation, stocking merchandise, providing cashier services, and ensuring cleanliness to enhance the shopping environment. Work Schedule and Compensation

Position requires an average of 30+ hours weekly with a starting wage of $18.50 per hour. Wage increments include $19.00 in year two, $19.50 in years three and four, and $20.50 by year five.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Exemplify excellent customer service practices and escalate any customer issues to management when necessary.
• Report product loss due to damage or expiration to store leadership promptly.
• Accurately operate the point-of-sale system, reporting any scan errors or concerns to management.
• Follow company cash handling policies meticulously.
• Manage checkout lanes efficiently by adhering to line policies and opening additional lanes as needed.
• Organize and stock shelves and displays according to merchandising planograms to drive sales.
• Execute curbside pickup orders by selecting items carefully, verifying order accuracy, and assisting in customer vehicle deliveries.
• Maintain merchandising and zone standards consistently.
• Support management efforts to meet operational efficiency and loss prevention goals.
• Uphold company policies and contribute to a safe and hazard-free working environment.
• Adhere to inventory protocols and handle products in compliance with guidelines.
• Perform cleaning duties to maintain company standards throughout the store.

Physical Requirements

• Tasks involve physical activities such as pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, reaching, bending, twisting, and moving around the store.
• Must be capable of lifting and placing products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves, including overhead positions.
• Operation of equipment is required, including cash registers, manual and electric hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Working in temperature-varied areas, such as freezers and coolers, is part of the role.
• Use of glass and multipurpose cleaning agents is necessary.

Qualifications

• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service consistently.
• Competently operate all store equipment, including registers, floor scrubbers, balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
• Understand and apply ALDI’s operating procedures and policies effectively.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in both spoken and written forms.
• Perform basic math operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Follow instructions attentively with a strong focus on detail.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively within teams.
• Manage, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks efficiently within set timeframes.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Meet the availability requirements established by the employer.

Education and Experience

• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
• Previous retail experience is advantageous.
