Full-Time Store Associate

About the Role

Join ALDI USA as a full-time Store Associate, where you will contribute to creating an outstanding shopping experience by handling merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining store cleanliness. Collaborate proactively with team members to support smooth store operations and provide excellent customer service in Marinette, WI.

Responsibilities

• Deliver courteous customer service while escalating any issues to management appropriately.
• Report outdated or damaged product losses to store leadership.
• Efficiently use the point-of-sale system to scan and process purchases accurately, informing management of any scanning problems.
• Follow cash handling policies and open additional checkout lanes as necessary to maintain customer flow.
• Stock products and arrange displays following merchandising guidelines to optimize sales.
• Accurately fulfill curbside pickup orders by retrieving, checking items, and delivering them promptly to customers' vehicles.
• Maintain store zone and merchandising standards consistently.
• Support management in reaching operational efficiency and reducing loss goals.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedural standards.
• Promote workplace safety by identifying hazards, ensuring ergonomic practices, and keeping equipment in proper condition.
• Follow inventory and product handling procedures.
• Perform general cleaning tasks to uphold company cleanliness standards.

Physical Requirements

• Physically push, pull, sit, stand, bend, twist, and move around the store.
• Lift and place items weighing up to 45 pounds at varying shelf heights.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers, pallet jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Work in temperature-controlled environments including freezers and coolers.
• Use appropriate cleaning agents safely, including glass and multipurpose products.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide prompt, polite customer service.
• Competence in operating store equipment like cash registers, balers, and handheld devices.
• Capability to interpret and apply store policies and operational procedures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions carefully.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Good organizational and time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Fulfill required work availability criteria.

Education and Experience

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Previous retail experience is considered an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting wage of $18.50 per hour
• Scheduled wage increases annually up to $20.50 per hour by year five
• Typical workweek comprises 30 or more hours.
