Full-Time Store Associate

Position Overview

Join us as a Store Associate where your core duties involve stocking and merchandising products, operating the cashier system, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an appealing shopping environment. By collaborating closely with the store team and delivering outstanding customer service, you'll play a key role in enhancing the customer experience.

Work Schedule and Compensation

This full-time position typically requires working over 30 hours per week. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with incremental wage increases each year starting from year two, reaching $20.50 by year five.

Primary Responsibilities

• Exemplify outstanding customer service practices and escalate concerns to management appropriately.
• Report any losses due to expired or damaged products to management.
• Accurately scan and process purchases using the point-of-sale system and notify management of any technical difficulties.
• Comply with established cash handling policies and open additional checkout lines to maintain efficient flow.
• Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms to optimize sales.
• Fulfill curbside pickup orders accurately and facilitate prompt delivery to customers.
• Maintain store zone and merchandising standards consistently.
• Support management in meeting operational efficiency and loss prevention targets.
• Adhere strictly to company policies and ensure a safe, hazard-free work environment.
• Follow inventory and product handling procedures precisely.
• Perform cleaning tasks to uphold company standards.

Physical Requirements

• Involve various physical movements including pushing, pulling, sitting, standing, reaching, grasping, twisting, and bending.
• Lift and place products weighing up to 45 pounds at different heights.
• Operate equipment such as cash registers, manual and electric hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Work in varying temperature conditions including freezers and coolers.
• Use appropriate cleaning products safely for glass and multipurpose surfaces.

Qualifications

• Deliver prompt, courteous customer service at all times.
• Competently operate store equipment including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, and handheld electronic devices.
• Understand and implement store policies effectively.
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
• Perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Follow directions diligently and pay close attention to detail.
• Work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Organize and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Maintain dependable attendance and meet availability requirements.

Education and Experience

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail work experience is favorable but not mandatory.
