Full-Time Steward

Job Summary

In the role of Steward, you will be entrusted with maintaining cleanliness in all back of house areas and operating pot-washing machinery to ensure a superb experience for Guests and Members. Your responsibilities will align with hygiene and occupational safety standards to sustain a sanitary and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate pot-washing machines and uphold cleanliness in compliance with health and hygiene policies.
• Perform general cleaning including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and proper disposal of waste in designated containers.
• Maintain impeccable kitchen and auxiliary spaces, adhering strictly to cleaning schedules.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety guidelines.
• Handle hazardous materials carefully, following health, hygiene, and safety regulations.
• Identify and report maintenance or hazard issues to supervisors without delay.
• Carry out additional reasonable tasks as assigned by hotel management.
• Keep serviceware spotless by cleaning chinaware, silverware, cooking utensils, pots, and pans.
• Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels for smooth operational flow.
• Prepare and arrange clean serviceware for banquets and other events.
• Guide and train new team members to enhance team effectiveness.
• Adhere to all regulations including health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness to safeguard guests and colleagues.
