Position Overview

The Merchandiser position focuses on enhancing company sales and profitability by merchandising Pepsi products at retailer sites, following established merchandising guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock, rotate, and arrange all products such as coolers, vendors, and shelves according to guidelines.
• Follow company policies and safety protocols, including wearing required protective gear.
• Communicate effectively with retailers, Pepsi management, and team members.
• Engage and assist consumers at retail locations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of backroom areas at stores.
• Handle, stock, and organize alcohol products responsibly.
• Keep sensitive information like pricing and customer data confidential.
• Complete daily paperwork including merchandiser logs, mileage reports, and time-off forms.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and store staff to optimize sales using POS materials and strategic product placement.
• Support Account Managers as necessary.
• Maintain regular attendance, work assigned schedules, and perform overtime as needed to fulfill duties.
• Operate Powered Industrial Trucks and other mechanical equipment safely and according to company protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Educational background of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Between zero and one year of experience in merchandising or stocking, alongside prior customer service exposure in retail or warehouse environments.
• Possess a valid driver’s license with insurability to operate company vehicles; comply with licensing requirements as applicable.
• Familiarity with retail sales procedures, beverage sector, and product management.
• Strong customer service skills adaptable to diverse settings.
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and speed, manage multiple tasks, read diagrams or planograms, write effectively, and embrace change positively.
• Physical capability to lift heavy products repeatedly and operate pallet jacks, tow motors, or related machinery.
