Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of grocery shelves, storage, and work areas ensuring safety by cleaning products, floors, and removing hazards.
• Stock grocery shelves while ensuring proper presentation, organization, accurate pricing, and product facing as per department standards.
• Monitor product rotation by checking expiration dates and disposing of outdated or spoiled items.
• Assist customers with product inquiries, purchases, and provide effective selling and cross-selling of products.
• Receive and inspect shipments verifying accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Manage promotional materials at points of purchase including recipe cards, coupons, and complementary food information.
• Operate equipment like knives, scales, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, and accurately weigh and label products.
• Prepare grocery displays, including cutting, stacking, pricing, and marking merchandise.
• Support pre-inventory activities including back stock organization and product tagging.
• Regularly inspect the department to maintain an organized, sanitary, and visually appealing environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1-2 years experience in grocery retail with knowledge of department processes.
• Experience in the natural foods sector is advantageous.

• Occasionally bend, climb, crawl, crouch, squat, kneel, and twist (1-33%).
• Occasionally lift or carry weights between 0-50 lbs; never lift 51-100 lbs.
• Perform frequent grasping tasks and occasional fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
• Work may occur under varied temperatures with some ventilation.

Compensation and Benefits
