Full-Time Cleaner

About the Role

TEC Services is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Cleaner to uphold cleanliness and safety standards at assigned locations. This key position involves carrying out daily janitorial tasks accurately and efficiently to maintain a sanitary environment that aligns with company policies and client expectations. The role requires working cooperatively in a professional setting while adhering to all safety requirements.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct routine cleaning activities including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing, and trash disposal in various facility areas such as floors, restrooms, break rooms, and offices.
• Disinfect frequently touched surfaces following company protocols and replenish restroom and other facility supplies as needed.
• Adhere to assigned schedules and ensure timely completion of all cleaning duties.
• Report maintenance needs, equipment damage, and safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
• Safely operate cleaning machinery and perform upkeep tasks such as draining, charging, and cleaning equipment post-shift.
• Maintain janitorial storage areas clean, organized, and fully stocked; ensure proper storage of tools, equipment, and propane tanks if applicable.
• Complete assigned documentation and checklists with accuracy and participate in facility walkthroughs when requested.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding daily tasks and any operational issues.

Safety and Compliance

• Follow all workplace safety policies including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) consistently.
• Ensure emergency exits, eyewash stations, and walkways remain unobstructed and accessible.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Dependability and capacity to work both independently and in team settings.
• Availability to work night shifts and travel between assigned sites as required.
• Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are beneficial.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Constantly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach during the shift.
• Frequently lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Capable of safely operating various cleaning machines such as floor scrubbers, buffers, and pallet jacks.
• Use mobile devices regularly for communication and work coordination.
• Sufficient hearing and vision abilities to safely perform job functions.
• Work will be conducted in settings such as warehouses, retail stores, grocery outlets, or distribution centers.
• Willingness to accommodate variable shift schedules dependent on organizational needs.
