Full-Time Baker

Overview

Morrison Healthcare, a part of Compass Healthcare, is seeking to fill a full-time Baker position located at Baptist Anderson Regional Medical Center, Meridian, MS. This role is essential in preparing a variety of baked goods to support nourishing patients and caregivers while maintaining high-quality standards.

Work Schedule and Location

The position follows a full-time schedule with shifts from either 5:00 am to 1:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm; specific days will vary and will be explained during the interview process. Applications are accepted online only.

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pies, cakes, cookies, and other pastries according to specific recipes and production plans to meet daily demands.
• Utilize approved recipes and proper equipment to ensure food quality and consistency.
• Assist in documenting production records including waste tracking and inventory shortages and communicate supply needs to supervision.
• Monitor food presentation, maintain portion control, and ensure serving temperatures meet standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment, utensils, and work areas.
• Handle food safely in accordance with sanitation and safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
• Clean equipment and workstation thoroughly following shifts and keep display equipment free of debris.
• Engage positively with customers, addressing complaints amicably and passing relevant feedback to supervisors.
• Work efficiently during peak production times while maintaining composure and accuracy.
• Complete assigned tasks thoroughly and timely with adherence to departmental standards.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience in baking is mandatory to qualify for this position.

Compensation

The hourly pay ranges from $14 to $18 depending on experience and qualifications.
