Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust web applications utilizing Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js technologies.
• Manage and optimize data handling using both relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational databases (such as DynamoDB and Redis).
• Create comprehensive unit and integration tests leveraging tools like Jest to guarantee software quality and reliability.
• Utilize contemporary frameworks including NestJS and Next.js for scalable backend and frontend solutions.
• Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to uphold coding excellence.
• Collaborate within Agile teams, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Enhance application performance focusing on scalability and speed.
• Implement Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows using relevant CI/CD tools.
• Partner with product teams, designers, and engineers to translate requirements into high-quality software deliverables.
• Drive AI Spec-Driven Development: author precise specifications and technical documentation for AI coding agents to execute, then supervise, review, and test their outputs.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• At least five years of hands-on professional software development experience.
• Proficient in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
• Strong expertise with both relational and non-relational database management.
• Demonstrated experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Familiarity with frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
• Practical experience in Agile development methodologies.
• Competent with Git version control systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving aptitude with creative, critical thinking skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills capable of explaining technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborative team player attitude.
• Experience with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code) and a disciplined spec-driven development process, including specification writing, directing, reviewing, and testing AI-produced code.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or equivalents.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, containerization technologies like Docker.
• Background in microservices architecture design and implementation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Buildkite or similar solutions.
