Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our autonomous, multidisciplinary product teams. The role involves close collaboration with UX designers, Product Managers, and fellow engineers to develop reliable, high-quality customer experiences and scalable systems to support growth. Teams operate with clear goals promoting accountability and transparency, including maintenance duties and active involvement in an on-call rotation.

The majority of the interview stages will be conducted remotely, with one in-person round.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain event-driven microservices and APIs within a distributed system architecture.
• Create dynamic web applications using ReactJS, Node.js, and Backbone.js, as we transition fully to React.
• Contribute to infrastructure development on AWS services such as EC2, ECS, SNS/SQS, RDS, Elasticache, and Elasticsearch.
• Work on event streaming and big data platforms, including Kafka and Spark.
• Extend and enhance existing features while ensuring system scalability and robustness.
• Lead architecture decisions, enforce high code quality standards through mentorship and code reviews, and manage end-to-end problem ownership including scoping and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or alternatively, 3+ years additional relevant industry experience in place of a degree.
• Proficient in at least two programming languages, favoring C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experienced in leveraging AI-enhanced development tools (such as Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor) effectively, balancing automation with critical thinking regarding design, correctness, and security.
• Knowledgeable in various data storage technologies including SQL databases, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, and RDS, with the ability to select appropriate solutions.
• Strong inclination towards data-driven decision making and familiarity with instrumentation and telemetry methods.
• Excellent communication abilities across interactive and documentation channels.
• Team-oriented mindset and proven collaboration skills integral to the work culture.

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience with event streaming architectures and stream processing tools like Kafka and Spark.
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code concepts, particularly Terraform, and capability to quickly adapt to other provisioning and configuration tools.
