About the Enterprise Engineering Team

The Enterprise Engineering unit within the Enterprise Product team aims to bridge Stripe’s core technology with the specific needs of major organizations globally. Their objective is to enhance Stripe’s fit within enterprise markets to secure deals and boost revenue, all while ensuring a top-tier experience for enterprise users during onboarding, activation, and growth phases. The team addresses complex, ambiguous challenges collaboratively, focusing on three core missions: developing specialized enterprise-grade features tailored for industry sectors, creating a configuration platform to simplify onboarding for enterprise clients, and ensuring smooth, secure migration of sensitive enterprise data to Stripe. The team comprises full-stack engineers working across scalable backend infrastructure, dashboards, and internal tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and sustain highly scalable, reliable, and efficient services and systems.
• Engage cross-functionally with engineers and stakeholders across product, design, risk, legal, and operations.
• Develop intuitive systems that facilitate enterprise adoption and protect data integrity during migration.
• Make informed tradeoffs balancing business goals, user experiences, and technical sustainability.
• Contribute to enhancements in engineering standards, tools, and workflows.

Qualifications

Essential:

• A minimum of 2 years’ industry experience delivering high-quality products.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to quickly learn new domains and manage ambiguous challenges.
• Proven experience developing end-to-end solutions, including the full development lifecycle from deployment through maintenance.
• Proficiency in web software development.
• A commitment to high standards when working with production systems.
• A proactive mindset with strong ownership to drive projects to impactful business outcomes.

Preferred:

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills bridging technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to reason clearly and act swiftly in dynamic and uncertain environments.
• Creative problem-solving skills with a user-centered approach to solution design.
• Comfortable with a range of product development activities, including architecture design, user research, and coding.

In-office Presence

Employees assigned to office locations are expected to spend at least 50% of their time monthly onsite or engaged with users. This requirement varies by role, team, and location; some roles, such as in Mexico City, Bengaluru, and Dublin, require full in-office attendance. Attendance expectations will be discussed by hiring managers to balance collaboration with flexibility.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a salary range of CA$135,200 to CA$202,800 annually in the primary location, with possible variations by location. Sales roles have On Target Earnings (OTE) including base pay and commissions. The final salary depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits may include equity, company bonuses or commissions, retirement plans, medical benefits, and wellness allowances, with specifics to be discussed during interviews.
