Full Stack Engineer

Location and Work Setup

This role is based in Singapore and requires candidates to be physically present in Singapore for everyday collaboration. Due to operational and legal requirements, only Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents are eligible to apply. The position offers a hybrid on-site work model rather than fully remote work, and involves working closely with teams distributed globally across various offices on international projects.

Within Gushcloud, the Tech Team leverages artificial intelligence and data analytics to empower the creator ecosystem. Their proprietary software analyses social media data of creators to maximize revenue opportunities, enable impactful brand partnerships, and offers strategic insights that guide decisions in partnerships, talent management, and business operations.

Role Summary

We are recruiting Full Stack Engineers of varying experience, including recent graduates and early-career professionals who exhibit strong foundational skills, eagerness to grow, and capability to contribute effectively to scalable systems. Depending on experience, candidates will gain increasing responsibilities such as system design, feature development, and leadership while building reliable, high-quality production systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain web applications, backend APIs, and systems
• Produce clean, maintainable code ready for production deployment
• Design and optimize database queries and data models to enhance performance and scalability
• Participate in system architecture and design discussions
• Own feature development lifecycle from inception to deployment
• Engage in code reviews to elevate code quality and engineering standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions
• Help improve engineering workflows, tools, and best practices
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members when relevant

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience level ranges from entry-level up to over 8 years as a full stack developer, with flexibility based on demonstrated skills
• Proficiency in at least one of PHP (Laravel), Python, or JavaScript/Node.js
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including OOP, data structures, and design patterns
• Experience with relational SQL databases like MySQL and/or NoSQL options like MongoDB
• Familiarity with developing and maintaining production APIs and web systems
• Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS, is beneficial
• Knowledge of performance tuning, scalability, and efficient data processing is advantageous
• Comfortable using Git for version control in collaborative settings
