Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Full Stack Developer proficient in Java and Angular to design, implement, and maintain scalable web applications. The role involves both frontend and backend development within an agile environment, leveraging modern technologies and cloud platforms, to deliver mission-critical software used by thousands of users.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular frameworks.
- Create responsive, user-friendly, and accessible web interfaces.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate on solution architecture, design estimation, and technical decisions.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code adhering to engineering standards.
- Perform unit, integration, and system testing to ensure high software quality.
- Work closely with agile, cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Facilitate CI/CD processes and implement DevOps best practices.
- Engage in technical discussions, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer.
- Strong command of Java and the Spring Boot/Spring Framework ecosystem.
- Proficiency in Angular for building modern web applications.
- Experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Expertise in designing and utilizing RESTful APIs.
- Understanding of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with automated testing methodologies, including unit testing and TDD.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Participation in Agile delivery frameworks like Scrum or Kanban.
- Knowledge of application servers and container technologies such as Tomcat.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with collaborative teamwork skills.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps cultures.
- Background delivering software in UK public sector or GDS standards.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, and logging tools.
