About the Role
The Global Payment team is responsible for delivering payment solutions encompassing acquisition, disbursement, transaction monitoring, management of payment methods, foreign exchange conversions, accounting, and reconciliation. Their goal is to provide users with a seamless and secure payment experience across ByteDance platforms worldwide.
The Web and Client unit within Global Payment aims to build integrated payment products accessible via web browsers, mobile apps, cross-platform systems, and more. They also offer effective and comprehensive services to developers, merchants, and other stakeholders through various platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop global digital wallets and payment products that support international business ecosystems and users through system design, development, and innovation initiatives.
- Create payment solutions for consumer-oriented and cross-platform products using Web technologies for both mobile and desktop environments.
- Collaborate closely with product designers, product managers, and software engineers to ensure efficient and secure delivery of business goals.
- Stay updated on emerging web technologies and frameworks, researching and applying cutting-edge tools to enhance product iterations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in developing frontend web applications.
- Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with proficiency in popular web frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular.
- Strong understanding and practical application of bundling and compilation tools such as Webpack, Rollup, Babel, and AST.
- Hands-on experience building high-performance, reliable web applications that provide outstanding user experiences.
- Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to design complex web-based systems.
Preferred Experience:
- At least five years of relevant experience within major internet companies.
- Background in e-wallet or payment product development.
- Agile mindset with quick learning abilities and a high degree of self-motivation combined with strong product ownership and creative problem-solving capacities.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills, thriving in fast-paced, diverse, and international teams.
