Role Summary
The Front Store Manager is accountable for overseeing the entire Front Store operations, which encompasses all store departments excluding Pharmacy, including cosmetics. This role prioritizes delivering exceptional customer experience, managing store processes and finances, and achieving business objectives while leading the Front Store team.
Responsibilities
- Uphold Store Standards consistently to enhance customer experience, increase foot traffic, and drive profitability.
- Collaborate with the Management Team to ensure all store areas, including backroom, comply with Store Standards at all times.
- Administer labor scheduling using Work Force Management tools to optimize productivity and maintain adequate staffing levels.
- Adhere to Human Resources standards, participate in hiring (excluding Pharmacy), administer wages within guidelines, conduct probationary and annual performance evaluations, and provide continuous staff coaching and motivation guided by core company values.
- Analyze financial reports, recognize trends, and address variances between planned and actual results via monitoring reports.
- Meet financial targets on a periodical, quarterly, and annual basis while setting motivating departmental goals and implementing efficiency improvement strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong capabilities in planning, judgment, and decision-making, especially related to inventory control and expense management.
- Effective leadership skills with a focus on mentoring and developing team members.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to quickly prioritize in a dynamic environment.
Experience
- Minimum five years of prior retail management experience.
- Track record of driving business performance, leading by example, and supporting corporate initiatives.
- Ability to work closely with management teams, demonstrating superior interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities.
- Strong business insight and financial understanding along with relationship-building skills across internal and external stakeholders.
Employment Details
This is a full-time, regular position based onsite. The salary range for this role is $56,000 to $67,500 annually. Candidates' experience, knowledge, and geographic location may influence final compensation.
