Front End Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a Singapore-based social gaming company, is seeking a Front End Engineer to design and enhance internal systems and customer-facing pages, while also playing a key role in evolving an AI-driven engineering workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize front-end components for internal platforms and select consumer pages.
• Enhance front-end architecture focusing on robustness, scalability, and improved user experience.
• Contribute actively to the engineering efficiency platform by utilizing AI coding tools to streamline development, debugging, testing, and code reviews.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, designers, and QA teams to ensure delivery quality and timelines are met.

Requirements

• Minimum three years of experience in front-end development.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript fundamentals along with solid skills in HTML5, CSS3, and React; with a deep understanding of React's inner workings.
• Experience working with Git version control, Node.js, front-end build tools, engineering best practices, and familiarity with backend development and API design.
• Ability to convert design mockups into pixel-perfect pages with a focus on good code architecture, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Hands-on use of AI coding tools like Claude Code and Codex to break down tasks, organize code and business context, and support development, debugging, and refactoring efforts.
• Competency in reviewing AI-generated code, validating it through testing and real-world executions, and ownership of final delivery quality.
• Meticulous and proactive approach, paired with strong communication and analytical problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building internal business systems such as approval workflows, HR, payroll, finance, or data analysis platforms, or experience with low-code environments.
• Knowledge of AI coding workflow development, including project rules, Skills, or MCP integrations with development tools.
• Full-stack project exposure led by AI-assisted coding, covering front-end, back-end, database design, API integrations, and deployment.
• Strong toolsets expertise with enthusiasm toward engineering efficiency, user experience, performance, or security enhancements.
• Interest or passion for business-end (B-end) applications; consumer-end (C-end) experience is an added advantage.
