Front End Developer TypeScript React - FinTech

Role Overview

We are seeking a Front End Developer skilled in TypeScript and React to join a dynamic start-up within the Investment Management sector, partnered with an established Hedge Fund client. This position offers the opportunity to take technical ownership and significantly influence the shape and development of data-intensive user interfaces and client dashboards supporting advanced trading system technology.

Work Environment

The role is based onsite in newly established, centrally located offices in Newcastle Upon Tyne with work hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday, offering some flexibility. Facilities include scenic views, onsite showers encouraging walking or cycling to work, and a vibrant, diverse team atmosphere, some of whom have relocated recently.

Candidate Profile

• Degree: Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science from a Russell Group university.
• Academic excellence at A-levels (grades A).
• Proficient in front-end development, especially in TypeScript and React.
• Strong collaborator and problem solver with a passion for technology.
• Well-versed in software engineering best practices covering entire development lifecycle.
• Solid grasp of Computer Science concepts including Object-Oriented Programming, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
• Motivated to contribute and shape a start-up environment.
