Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Front Desk Agent to join our team full-time on-site in Doha. The successful candidate will be responsible for warmly welcoming guests, effectively managing check-in and check-out processes, handling reservations, and addressing inquiries in person, over the phone, and by email. Daily duties also include processing payments, updating guest records in hotel software, collaborating with various departments to meet guest needs, and resolving any concerns promptly and professionally.
The Front Desk Agent will provide detailed information about hotel amenities and local points of interest, ensure adherence to hotel policies, and maintain a tidy, organized front desk area. The role demands consistent delivery of courteous and efficient service, exemplifying the luxury and refinement associated with the Waldorf Astoria brand.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills to engage professionally with guests and coworkers.
- Familiarity with front office operations, including reservation management, check-in/check-out protocols, and basic cash handling.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management capabilities, maintaining composure during busy or challenging situations.
- Good organizational aptitude and time-management skills with meticulous attention to guest data and documentation.
- Fluent English communication; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Previous hospitality or guest service experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, in line with hotel scheduling needs.
- Minimum education of a high school diploma or equivalent; educational background in hospitality or tourism is favorable.
