Freelance English Annotator - AI Training Projects

About the Role

This position involves freelance annotation contributions to AI development projects coordinated by Mindrift, aimed at enhancing AI understanding and performance for large technology firms. Contributors work remotely on a project basis, not as permanent staff.

Primary Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine text, image, or video content delivered as part of projects;
• Apply detailed labels or classifications to content following specific project guidelines;
• Detect and flag inaccuracies, sensitive or inappropriate information, or unclear material for review.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess a Bachelor's degree in any field;
• Have a minimum of one year in any professional capacity to demonstrate experience;
• Exhibit logical reasoning and fact-checking capabilities;
• Maintain keen attention to detail and ability to comprehend complex instructions;
• Demonstrate strong communication skills, including capacity for seeking clarifications;
• Show genuine interest in AI technology and its advancement;
• Fluency in English at C1 proficiency level or above, both written and spoken.

Working Process

Applicants go through a qualification assessment; upon passing, they join projects as they become available. Contributors complete assigned tasks remotely, meeting deadlines and quality standards to qualify for payment.

Time and Payment

• Estimated time commitment ranges from 10 to 20 hours weekly during active project phases; this varies depending on task availability and is not guaranteed;
• Compensation is task-based, with payment rates adjusted by qualification level and efficiency, potentially achieving rates up to $15 per hour equivalent;
• Maintaining quality standards is essential with faster task completion improving effective hourly earnings.
