Position Overview
The Franchise Development Coordinator based in Auckland plays a pivotal role in expanding Foodco's New Zealand franchise network. This position manages the entire franchisee journey from initial inquiry to signed agreement and partner onboarding, serving as the main liaison to maintain momentum throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire franchisee enquiry lifecycle including initial contact, qualification, conversion, and project handoff.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including prospective franchise sites, ensuring a healthy pipeline.
- Organize recruitment and lead generation efforts to sustain consistent interest from potential franchisees.
- Manage franchisee applications, oversee NDA processes, and coordinate interviews with General Manager and landlords as needed.
- Work with Legal to prepare and issue Letters of Offer and Disclosure Documents for new and renewing franchisees.
- Coordinate franchise and lease renewal processes, including report generation and document handling, interfacing with Legal, Finance, and Operations teams. Note: commercial negotiations are handled by the General Manager; this role focuses on support and administration.
- Ensure Salesforce data integrity for stores, leases, and franchisee records while maintaining the pipeline tracker up-to-date.
- Provide administrative and executive assistance to the General Manager, including managing diaries, emails, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Required Experience and Skills
- Experience in business development, franchising, or client-facing roles guiding clients through decision processes.
- Self-driven and well organized, able to balance relationship management with detailed administrative tasks.
- Strong communication capabilities and confidence working with CRM platforms, with Salesforce experience preferable.
- Excellent precision in managing documents, records, and accurate reporting.
- Background in franchising, hospitality, retail, or multi-site environments is advantageous though not mandatory.
- Experience in roles involving pipeline management or recruitment with target responsibilities is highly valuable.
Location and Working Conditions
This is a full-time position based at the Foodco office on Vernon Street, Auckland.
