Palomba General Trading LLC is an international trading and business-development company headquartered in Dubai, with operations spanning the GCC, Europe, and select global markets. Their product range includes natural ingredients, botanical extracts, flavor systems, essential oils, and specialized raw materials, serving sectors such as food, beverage, nutraceuticals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and fragrances.
Role Overview
The FP&A Analyst will play a crucial role liaising with management, Finance, and Commercial teams to analyze financial outcomes, assist in forecasting, and offer structured insights to aid business decision-making in a global trading context. This position combines financial analytics, budgeting prowess, and commercial comprehension.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Create monthly reports detailing financial performance.
- Compare actual financial results with budgets and forecasts and analyze deviations.
- Investigate significant discrepancies in revenue, margins, and costs.
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models.
- Develop management dashboards and presentations.
- Analyze profitability at the customer, market, and product-category levels.
- Support forecasting of revenue and gross margins.
- Evaluate operating expenses and track cost patterns.
- Design financial scenarios to guide management decisions.
- Assist with cash-flow forecasting exercises.
- Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams to cross-coordinate financial data.
- Monitor business performance trends and essential financial metrics.
- Support assessment of new commercial projects and investment opportunities.
- Help with month-end management reporting tasks.
- Ensure accuracy of planning assumptions and financial datasets.
- Contribute to the enhancement of financial planning and reporting workflows.
- Provide ad hoc financial and commercial analyses as required by management.
Candidate Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Between 2 and 5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, management accounting, or corporate finance.
- Proficient in financial modeling and advanced analytical techniques.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
- A solid understanding of financial statements.
- Hands-on experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Ability to scrutinize revenue, margin, and operational cost structures.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Fluent command of English in both written and spoken forms.
- Strong aptitude for reporting and presentation.
- Experience with ERP or financial management software is a plus.
Preferred Expertise
- Background in international trading, B2B distribution, FMCG, food & beverage, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, specialty chemicals, import/export sectors, or multinational/multi-market companies.
- Experience using Power BI or other business intelligence platforms.
- Professional qualifications or progress in ACCA, CMA, CIMA, or CFA are favorable but not essential.
- Arabic language skills are beneficial but not a requirement.
Compensation and Benefits
The monthly salary ranges from QAR 16,000 to 21,000, depending on experience and educational background.
