Job description

About the Role

Join a pioneering deep tech company based in Riyadh as an FP&A Analyst, responsible for steering key financial decisions combining both hardware and software business elements. This role focuses heavily on complex financial modelling covering bills of materials, unit economics, inventory management, working capital, and cash flow analysis beyond standard subscription revenue models.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of the comprehensive financial model, including revenue streams, cost of goods sold, workforce expenses, capital expenditure, and liquidity management.
  • Develop and regularly update unit economics at the SKU level while ensuring accuracy aligned with evolving bills of materials.
  • Lead the budgeting process, forecasting exercises, and variance analysis to clarify financial discrepancies.
  • Design working capital and inventory models for a supply chain that procures components in advance of invoicing.
  • Prepare detailed reports for board members and investors to support strategic decisions.
  • Provide actionable financial insights to support decision-making in commercial and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of three years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar analytical financial roles.
  • Expertise in robust financial modelling, which constitutes the primary responsibility of the role.
  • Strong understanding of cost of goods sold and inventory financials, extending beyond recurring revenue models.
  • Ability to critically assess and highlight questionable assumptions rather than overlook them.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hardware, manufacturing, or deep technology sectors.
  • Progress towards or completion of a relevant financial or business qualification.
  • Exposure to startups where financial models are subject to frequent changes.

What the Company Offers

  • Opportunity to work with one of the region’s inaugural deep tech companies developing foundational technologies.
  • The chance for significant ownership and early-stage impact.
  • Attractive competitive compensation aligned with early-stage company standards.
  • Close work environment with a compact, highly experienced leadership team.
  • Challenging projects that integrate hardware, systems, and artificial intelligence on a large scale.
