About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically proficient Product Manager to drive our Operate product from an initial hypothesis stage to achieving product-market fit. This position requires a founder-like mindset rather than a traditional roadmap management approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with SRE, DevOps, and engineering teams to gain a thorough understanding of production incident workflows and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Engage with early design partners through outreach efforts including community involvement, content creation, events, and live demos.
- Translate customer feedback into validated product hypotheses and develop minimal viable products (MVPs) that undergo rapid iterations.
- Work intimately with engineering teams to design and deliver the product.
- Leverage artificial intelligence extensively for research, prototyping, data analysis, content generation, and implementation.
- Act as a representative of Operate at meetups, industry events, and specialized community gatherings such as Luma events.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with an understanding of the SRE and DevOps domains and be comfortable navigating uncertainty and ambiguity. You will exhibit high agency by independently identifying goals, formulating hypotheses, executing plans, learning from outcomes, and iterating quickly without requiring explicit instructions.

Your impact will be measured by successfully converting Operate from a testable concept to a product that a niche customer base highly values and is willing to purchase.
