Role Summary
We are seeking software engineers to develop, assess, and maintain production-level AI applications, intelligent agents, and reusable engineering tools. This role focuses on software engineering specifically tailored to AI implementations, beyond mere prompt writing or experimental work.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement intelligent agents, AI-enhanced workflows, retrieval mechanisms, and the integration of AI models.
- Develop deterministic tools and APIs that enable agents to interact seamlessly with enterprise ecosystems.
- Create automated evaluation frameworks that measure quality, safety, reliability, and detect regressions.
- Develop and enforce guardrails including permissions, traceability, fallback options, and human escalation processes.
- Implement instrumentation for monitoring metrics such as cost efficiency, latency, system behavior, and business outcomes.
- Optimize context handling, the selection of AI models, and inference operations to improve system performance.
- Contribute reusable software components, establish development standards, and build reference implementations.
- Analyze production failures for root cause and continuously enhance system stability and efficiency.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Proven software engineering experience with APIs, cloud infrastructure, testing, and operational deployment.
- Hands-on knowledge of patterns used in large language model (LLM) applications.
- Open to various experience levels; strong engineering fundamentals are prioritized over years exclusively spent in AI.
- A proactive problem-solver comfortable navigating and addressing challenges across diverse business domains rather than a single narrow focus.
