Role Overview

The Forward Deployed Software Engineer at TruKKer is a unique hybrid role embedding within business teams to identify pain points and construct tailored software solutions end-to-end using Claude Code technology. This role combines responsibilities traditionally distributed among analysts, product managers, developers, and testers, requiring ownership across the entire lifecycle from problem definition through adoption.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with business units like operations, sales, finance, and customer success to identify and validate operational challenges.
• Research and define software solution options with input from stakeholders, aligning proposed outcomes and scope before development.
• Develop full-stack applications using Claude Code, managing data, logic, integrations, interfaces, and deployment while ensuring maintainability, security, and documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive self-testing of functionalities, integrations, edge cases, and data correctness prior to release.
• Organize training and materials for business teams, oversee rollout and initial support phases.
• Maintain ownership of solutions post-launch, handling support, enhancements, and adoption tracking.
• Analyze adoption metrics, diagnose low usage issues, and implement corrective measures including product, training, or process adjustments.

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in software engineering, solution engineering, or equivalent roles.
• Strong full-stack development skills encompassing backend logic, database, API integration, and front-end interface design.
• Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools, preferably Claude Code, coupled with critical evaluation and enhancement of AI-generated code.
• Proven ability to translate ambiguous business challenges into actionable requirements and build effective solutions.
• Experience working within and enhancing existing software systems, including codebase comprehension and safe integration.
• Strong self-discipline for thorough testing and validation.
• Exceptional communication skills adaptable to technical and non-technical audiences, including training delivery.
• High level of ownership with a proactive approach to task completion.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable experience.

Preferred Skills

• Background in logistics, supply chain, freight, or operations-intensive environments.
• Familiarity with ERP, TMS, CRM systems and their integration methods.
• Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms for solution monitoring and dashboard creation.
• Previous exposure in forward deployed engineering or internal tooling roles.
• Knowledge of product management functions such as requirement documentation, backlog prioritization, and user research.
