Job description
Overview
Join Polaris Community as a Form F Assessor to contribute to ensuring positive outcomes for children in foster care across multiple UK locations. We seek compassionate, qualified social workers who excel in producing detailed, high-quality analytical assessment reports and who wish to support foster families through thorough evaluations.
Role and Responsibilities
As a Form F Assessor working alongside independent fostering agencies such as Polaris Community, your main responsibility is to safeguard the welfare of foster children by carrying out comprehensive assessments of prospective foster families. This involves generating and presenting well-reasoned, evidence-backed fostering assessments and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations including the Children Act 1989, Fostering and Adoption Act 2002, the National Minimum Standards for Fostering Services, and Fostering Services Regulations.
Requirements
- Possess qualification as a social worker.
- Have extensive experience post-qualification specifically in assessing potential foster parents.
- Be registered with your national social work regulatory body, e.g., SWE or SSSC.
- Hold or be ready to obtain professional indemnity insurance.
- Commit to attend mandatory induction and further training sessions.
- Have unrestricted access to personal transportation and be open to traveling as required.
- Successful completion of statutory and organizational background checks.
- Preferably have completed and presented at least one Form F Assessment to a Panel.

Compensation
The position offers a salary of A3 2,000 plus reimbursement of expenses.
