About the Company and Role

ZIWI Limited is a reputable pet nutrition company known globally for its commitment to quality by using only New Zealand sourced natural and free-range ingredients. Our enthusiastic team takes pride in producing and sharing exceptional products worldwide.

We are currently seeking a skilled forklift operator to manage daily stock movements within our advanced kitchen facilities located in Awatoto. This position is full-time with 45 hours per week scheduled Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely handling and accurately placing products in racks utilizing on-board scanning technology and the ABEL Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Delivering pallets promptly to the production staging area as directed through the ABEL WMS.
  • Executing timely internal transfers of pallets to optimize cold storage capacity, maintaining temperatures between -5°C and -12°C.
  • Contributing to a culture of continuous workplace improvement.
  • Performing cycle counts, inventory audits, and compliance checks to uphold process controls.

Candidate Requirements

  • At least three years of verified forklift operating experience.
  • Proven skills in put-away and order picking using forklift-mounted scanners and Warehouse Management Systems, with experience handling meat products and batch processing considered a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of cold-chain logistics, along with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong dedication to health and safety practices.
  • Possession of a current OSH forklift license.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills.
  • High precision and attention to detail, coupled with proficient written and arithmetic skills.
  • Comfortable with basic computer operations.
  • Physically able to lift items up to 20kg and stand for prolonged periods.
