Forklift Operator with Valid UAE License

Role Overview

Black & Grey HR is recruiting a Forklift Operator to work permanently in Abu Dhabi, supporting the client’s operational activities across various locations, including yard, warehouse, jetty, and vessels. This position demands strict compliance with lifting protocols, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, and forklift operational safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to transport equipment, pipes, pallets, tools, spare parts, containers, and other materials efficiently.
• Load and unload trucks at yard or warehouse facilities.
• Transfer equipment between warehouse, workshop, yard, jetty, and project staging zones.
• Accurately position heavy machinery for lifting or further transportation.
• Conduct pre-operation inspections of forklifts, including checks on tire condition, forks, hydraulics, brakes, lights, horn, seat belt, and warning systems.
• Verify weight, dimensions, load center, and load stability before moving materials.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, damages, or unsafe conditions to the supervisor promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard and storage areas.
• Adhere to HSE procedures, including PPE protocol, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and permit-to-work systems when applicable.
• Coordinate smoothly with storekeepers, riggers, logistics teams, vessel personnel, and project staff.

Requirements

• Possess a valid UAE Forklift Operator License.
• Diploma or any trade certification is advantageous.
• At least 5 years of forklift operation experience with official certification.
• Demonstrated experience handling forklifts within warehouse, yard, logistics, marine, offshore, or industrial settings.
• Sound knowledge of forklift safety norms, understanding load capacities and centers, and proper material handling.
• Capability to work safely alongside cranes, riggers, trucks, and heavy machinery.
• Effective communication and coordination skills with banksmen/signallers and operational teams.
• Basic familiarity with HSE standards and lifting protocols.
• Strong housekeeping and organizational abilities.
• Physically fit, vigilant about safety, and aware of surrounding work activities.
• Ability to adhere strictly to instructions, procedures, and safe lifting practices.
