We are seeking a proactive Foreperson who leads by example to support their team and ensure safe, effective project execution at Downer. Downer, a prominent provider of integrated services in Australia and New Zealand, partners closely with clients to design, construct, and maintain key infrastructure and facilities.

Role Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on leadership and mentorship to crews while fostering a safety-first environment
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily maintenance and construction activities
- Optimize the use of plant, materials, and resources to enhance productivity
- Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure project success
- Oversee quality control, progress monitoring, and performance to meet contract standards
Skills and Experience
- Proven leadership experience in civil construction, surfacing, maintenance, or infrastructure projects
- Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience managing subcontractors, plant operations, and resource allocation
- Commitment to health, safety, quality, and environmental best practices
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build robust working relationships
- Class 2 Driver Licence with WTR endorsement preferred; Class 4 Licence highly regarded
- Experience in asphalt, surfacing, road maintenance, or civil construction is advantageous
