About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Lusail, Qatar, seeks a Food Services Supervisor to ensure cohesive teamwork and provide excellent customer service within the Food and Beverage department. This non-management position involves overseeing staff appearance and dress code, managing opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and cleaning equipment and areas, maintaining storage areas by ensuring compliance with FIFO procedures and cleanliness, and handling inventory and supply orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise dining room capacity management, service delivery, and ensure guest safety and comfort.
  • Create work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Assist management with recruiting, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, enforcing discipline, motivating, and supporting employees while serving as a role model and point of reference for company policies such as Fair Treatment Guarantee and Open Door Policy.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, report maintenance issues, accident risks, and injuries; complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a professional and clean personal appearance and uniform.
  • Protect company confidentiality and assets.
  • Provide respectful and dignified support to colleagues and contribute to team goals.
  • Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards.
  • Perform physical tasks including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 50 pounds unassisted, as well as standing, sitting, or walking for long periods or full shifts.
  • Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery for defects visually and operate tasks requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Execute reaching, bending, twisting, climbing stairs and ramps, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
  • Greet and recognize all guests according to company standards using clear, appropriate, and professional language both in person and over the phone.
  • Respond appropriately to customer and employee concerns using courteous communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors consistent with the role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum secondary education or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • No required licenses or certifications.
