Food Service Worker

About the Role

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is actively seeking full-time Food Service Workers to join their team at Effingham Hospital in Springfield, GA. This position supports the preparation, presentation, and service of food in a professional healthcare setting, focusing on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare food by washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Measure and weigh ingredients according to designated standards.
• Transport food items safely between workstations, stoves, and refrigerators.
• Follow food storage protocols including wrapping, dating, and rotation for safety and freshness.
• Clean and maintain work areas, equipment, and utensils diligently.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment as needed.
• Adhere to approved recipes and production guidelines to ensure quality, proper temperature, and portion control.
• Serve customers efficiently and courteously, adhering to established service procedures.
• Address customer concerns and communicate relevant issues to supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with company standards for service, inventory, and cash control.
• Ensure all sanitation and safety regulations are met consistently.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience in customer service is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

This is a full-time role with shifts from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM; exact days may vary and will be clarified during the interview. The work location is Effingham Hospital, 459 Highway 119 South, Springfield, GA 31329. Note that applications are accepted online only.

Compensation

The hourly pay rate ranges from $14.00 to $14.50.
