Job Overview
Join a well-known Queensland Greek street food brand as a Food Process Worker, where you'll thrive in a structured routine with excellent benefits. This position involves operating food production machinery, maintaining hygiene, and ensuring quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and oversee food processing machinery to maintain smooth production flow.
- Adhere strictly to standard operating procedures and safety protocols to keep the workspace clean and hygienic.
- Prepare vegetables by sorting, washing, peeling, and chopping to specified quality.
- Measure and weigh ingredients precisely as per recipes and production demands.
- Assemble and mix ingredients to prepare food products, including meat items, according to instructions.
- Carry out packaging of final products following labelling and packaging requirements.
- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
- Comply with food safety regulations and use personal protective equipment correctly.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals and deadlines.
- Promptly notify supervisors about any equipment issues, product problems, or safety concerns.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in food processing or manufacturing is required.
- Physically able to handle a demanding work environment, including standing long hours and lifting up to 25kg boxes daily.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately.
- Good organisational and time management capabilities.
- Proficient in basic English communication, basic mathematics, and the use of weighing scales and measurement conversions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Flexible to work Monday to Friday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, with occasional weekends or public holidays if necessary.
- Excellent punctuality and attendance record is essential.
