Job description
Overview
The Food and Consumables Team Associate delivers outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. This role involves maintaining organization within the food and consumables section, assisting with stocking, and supporting sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain department organization by zoning shelves, tables, and bunkers to ensure products are in their proper places.
- Rotate stock regularly and monitor product expiration dates to maintain freshness.
- Verify proper signage and pricing for all merchandise.
- Comply with standards and policies related to cold chain management, thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and checking sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow appropriate procedures for ordering, clearance, markdowns and markups, and labeling products correctly.
Compensation
The starting wage for this position is $17.75 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
