Position Overview
We seek an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our acclaimed team. This role is key to facilitating seamless and efficient dining and beverage operations. Reporting directly to the Restaurant & Bar Manager, you will rotate among service areas and lead by example to ensure outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly, manage seating, and engage attentively to guarantee an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure.
- Handle reservations and seating plans to optimize guest comfort and service flow.
- Supervise daily operations including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and room service, providing support wherever necessary to maintain smooth service.
- Demonstrate hands-on leadership during peak hours by assisting with tasks like cocktail preparation, coffee making, and floor assistance.
- Oversee the training and development of Food & Beverage staff, encouraging a positive and cooperative team environment.
- Collaborate closely with kitchen, bar, and front-of-house teams to provide consistent, top-quality service.
- Address guest concerns proactively with professionalism to ensure favorable resolutions.
- Enforce rigorous health, safety, and hygiene standards to maintain a clean and safe setting.
- Contribute to sustainability efforts including waste minimization and energy conservation to uphold the company's environmental commitments.
Candidate Profile
- Previous supervisory experience in food and beverage settings within premium restaurants, bars, or hotels.
- Comprehensive understanding of restaurant and bar procedures; barista and mixology skills are highly advantageous.
- A passion for providing exceptional guest services and the ability to lead and motivate a team to deliver personalized hospitality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a cooperative mindset to work across departments.
- Strong organizational aptitude and the capacity to remain composed and effective during busy periods.
- Willingness to work on a rotating schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
- Legal permission to work in New Zealand.
