About The Team
This position supervises the flawless functioning of automated machinery throughout the production process, from initial setup to data analysis to identify improvement opportunities. It requires efficient communication and the use of specialized software tools. The Flow Controller regularly collaborates with Operations Managers, Shift Managers, Engineering, and Automation Technicians. Their duties include monitoring production lines, reporting and resolving issues, assisting with system testing, and enhancing box production efficiency by tackling bottlenecks, stock challenges, and quality concerns, coordinating multiple teams as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate Warehouse Control Systems (WCS) and Production Control Systems (PCS) to verify machines are active and configured correctly.
- Detect and proactively anticipate conveyor blockages, notifying engineering teams as required to maintain balanced box flow.
- Perform consistent checks on line throughput, analyze bottlenecks, and implement corrective measures.
- Coordinate support and service teams to maintain smooth facility operations.
- Prepare detailed reports and analyze machine performance metrics.
Candidate Profile
- Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution centre setting.
- Competent in various computer systems and software.
- Ability to resolve problems and make swift decisions in a high-speed production environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, capable of prioritizing workload efficiently.

Additional Information
Location: The Windmill, Plot 8, Unit 2 Smart Parc, Spondon, Derby, DE217HW
Work Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, rotating every three months between day and night shifts (7 AM to 7 PM).
Applicants must have the legal right to work independently in the UK; unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.
