Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position in Christchurch entails preparing subfloors, measuring and cutting flooring materials, and installing diverse flooring types as per project needs and manufacturer instructions. The daily workflow involves inspecting surfaces, removing existing floors, installation tasks, utilizing hand and power tools, and maintaining safety procedures. The role requires cooperative teamwork with supervisors and colleagues to ensure efficient project completion and includes professional client interaction, handling basic inquiries, and promptly reporting any issues or delays to project management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Demonstrable practical skills in general flooring installation, including precise measurement, cutting, and fitting techniques.
• Experience with installing commercial vinyl, carpet tiles, timber flooring, vinyl tiles, wall vinyl, carpet, and autex.
• Ability to interpret basic plans and instructions and adhere strictly to project specifications.
• Consistent reliability, punctuality, and capability to work on-site as required.
• Proven previous experience working as a flooring installer is mandatory.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is compulsory.
