Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled floor care activities including dusting, sweeping, mopping, buffing, stripping, and waxing floors
- Clean and properly store equipment after each shift
- Identify and report any repair needs
- Manage waste disposal following supervisory instructions
- Assist with upkeep and correct use of housekeeping equipment
- Demonstrate servant leadership by promoting the organization’s positive image and maintaining open communication
- Participate in committees, workgroups, and collaborative projects to support organizational success
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to help achieve system goals
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Effective communication skills to interact courteously with colleagues, patients, families, and visitors; responding helpfully and professionally to concerns and inquiries
- Ability to read and understand safety rules, operational guidelines, and procedural manuals
- Competency in writing routine reports and correspondence
- Comfortable speaking before groups of coworkers or customers
- Basic mathematical ability with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Problem-solving skills to execute instructions and address issues involving multiple factors
- Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word applications
