Job Summary

The Floor Technician role involves maintaining, restoring, and operating industrial floor care equipment to ensure hard-surface and carpeted floor areas are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate floor maintenance techniques including stripping, refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing on hard floor surfaces.
• Operate a variety of industrial floor care equipment effectively and safely.
• Use automated cleaning machinery to clean large floor areas efficiently.
• Perform carpet and upholstery care such as shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, and vacuuming.
• Carry out maintenance and restorative processes for all types of floor surfaces.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a similar role is preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of floor maintenance equipment and techniques is required.
• Ability to follow established safety procedures consistently.
• Capable of frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling weights up to 50 lbs.
• Experience using an auto scrubber and propane burnisher is mandatory.

Work Schedule and Location

• Full-time position with a schedule Monday through Friday, 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
• Primary work location at Lake Travis High School, Austin, TX, with opportunities at other district sites.

Compensation and Benefits

• Hourly pay ranging from $18.00 to $19.00.
