Role Overview

As a General Production team member, you will play an essential role in producing safe, top-quality meat products by performing vital production activities and supporting your teammates. Your dependability, focus on detail, and strong work ethic will ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and teamwork are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

• Use hand tools, knives, machinery, and various equipment to process meat products safely for consumers.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and efficient production line environment.
• Collaborate with team members to foster a positive work atmosphere.
• Adhere to all safety policies and operational procedures.
• Be available to work scheduled shifts and potential overtime in response to production demands.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Perform tasks involving repetitive hand and arm movements including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending.
• Stand for up to 12 hours on concrete or platforms during shifts.
• Work in environments ranging from cold (20-40°F) to hot (over 100°F).
• Operate while exposed to animal blood, carcass parts, strong odors, and wet or humid conditions.
• Wear required personal protective equipment such as hard hats, hearing and eye protection, and steel-toed shoes.
• Handle sanitation and cleaning chemicals safely.
• Climb ladders, stairs, and platforms as needed.
• Bend, stoop, twist repeatedly and walk long distances throughout shifts.
• Lift objects up to 60 lbs, sometimes using mechanical assistance, with some positions involving repetitive overhead lifting up to 30 lbs.
• May require certification for operating certain equipment.
