Job description
Overview
Jovie is seeking compassionate and adaptable nannies to join our on-call team, providing childcare support across multiple families. This role is ideal for experienced babysitters, daycare workers, retired teachers, or anyone who enjoys working with children in a smaller, flexible setting rather than a traditional classroom.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide attentive in-home childcare without the need to transport children.
- Maintain a tidy environment relevant only to your childcare activities or meal clean-up.
- Care primarily for infants and toddlers, with a focus on children under two years old.
- Create a safe, engaging environment through age-appropriate, hands-on activities based on children's developmental needs.
Compensation and Benefits
- Hourly wage ranging from $23.00 to $26.50.
- Paid training and a nanny kit containing age-appropriate games and activities.
- Advancement opportunities in the childcare sector, with priority placement for full or part-time consistent nanny roles.
- Paid sick leave for both part-time and full-time schedules.
- Additional benefits for full-time employees include a medical stipend, paid vacations, holidays, student loan repayment matching, and retirement savings matching.
- Incentives such as mileage reimbursement, performance bonuses, contests, and community events.
- Employment is official with a W-2, including unemployment insurance and resume-building experience.
Candidate Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrated experience with children, mandatory experience with infants, whether paid or voluntary.
- Access to reliable transportation and ability to travel to various homes in the area.
- Availability for three or more weekdays, working 6 to 8-hour shifts between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
- Strong communication skills and responsiveness to staffing coordinators, coupled with a friendly disposition for families.
