Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Flat Roofer to join Standard Roofing & Exteriors Ltd, located in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada. This position requires on-site work at various commercial and residential locations, with no opportunity for remote work.

Languages and Education

English proficiency is required. No formal degree, certificate, or diploma is mandatory.

Experience and Specialization

Applicants should have between 3 and 5 years of relevant experience. Expertise in shingled roofs, conventional and inverted built-up roofing systems, modified roofing systems, and single-ply sheet membrane roofing systems is essential.

Work Environment and Conditions

• Work takes place outdoors, often at heights and in noisy settings.
• Physically demanding tasks requiring bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
• Work performed at multiple sites, including both commercial and residential buildings.

Responsibilities

• Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
• Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces above or below ground level.
• Install sheet metal flashings.
• Erect and dismantle scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.

• Candidates must provide their own steel-toed safety boots.
