Job Summary

Engage in physically demanding tasks at construction locations, focusing on maintaining safe and efficient traffic flow and site safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Regularly set up signs and barriers based on training and instructions from the traffic control supervisor
• Prepare and clean construction sites to remove hazards
• Handle loading, unloading, and distribution of construction materials, machinery, and tools to designated areas
• Manage and direct traffic in and around work zones following appropriate training guidelines
• Signal equipment operators to aid in positioning and maneuvering machinery and materials with proper training
• Adhere to all safety protocols as directed by the foreman or supervisor
• Walk considerable distances over uneven or rough ground as required
• Operate motor vehicles when necessary to fulfill job duties

Qualifications and Requirements

• Ability to follow detailed instructions and perform various duties that may frequently change
• Execute tasks with accuracy according to established procedures and safety standards
• High school diploma preferred; on-the-job training will be provided
• Possessing certification compliant with state regulations is advantageous
