Position Overview

The role involves the complete assembly of RSR pumps and related components within the shop at the Khandala MIDC site in Satara, Maharashtra. The Assembly Engineer is also responsible for various operational and quality-related activities linked to pump assembly and commissioning processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform full assembly of RSR pumps and other equipment parts.
• Execute assembly tasks in stages, including rotor assembly and measurement calculations.
• Complete the final pump assembly incorporating all necessary connections and accessories.
• Support the Quality Assurance Engineer during pump testing, stage validation, and final inspection.
• Assist clients during inspections and test procedures, including strip-down tests.
• Maintain cleanliness of the workspace and orderly storage of tools at the end of shifts.
• Operate grinding tools for rotor balancing and deburring machined parts.
• Prepare for helium leak tests and conduct hydrostatic testing on components.
• Properly document and maintain required technical records and reports.
• Perform pump installation and commissioning at client sites, including the use of cranes for moving heavy parts.
• Follow ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO18001 standards and protocols in all activities.
• Utilize SAP-PP modules applicable to assembly functions.
• Undertake any additional assignments as delegated by supervisors related to assembly, installation, repair, or servicing tasks.

Candidate Profile and Skills

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering only.
• 3 to 7 years of relevant professional assembly experience.
• Strong knowledge of high-pressure multistage pump assemblies.
• Familiarity with ISO quality and environmental management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001).
• Understanding of 5S workplace organization and Kaizen continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings proficiently.
