Fixed Asset Accountant

Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Fixed Asset Accountant to be part of our Finance Team located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves maintaining precise records of fixed assets, managing capitalization and depreciation processes, overseeing the Capital Work in Progress (CWIP), conducting reconciliations, and assisting in financial reporting as well as audit preparation.

Key Duties

• Ensure accurate maintenance and reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register with the General Ledger.
• Evaluate CAPEX transactions to verify correct capitalization and classification.
• Monitor CWIP account balances and appropriately transfer completed projects to fixed asset accounts.
• Calculate and process depreciation with precision.
• Handle the addition, transfer, disposal, write-off, and adjustment of assets.
• Assist in conducting physical asset verifications and address any discrepancies found.
• Compile reports on fixed assets and CAPEX and provide support during internal and external audits.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset information within ERP systems.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in Fixed Assets Accounting, Financial Accounting, or a similar finance role.
• Practical experience managing fixed assets, handling capitalization and depreciation, performing reconciliations, and preparing financial reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial accounting software.
• Preferred experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
• Experience in large organizations or multi-entity companies, particularly with CAPEX or capital project management, is advantageous.
• Professional qualifications like SOCPA, CPA, ACCA, or comparable certifications are beneficial.
